statement — chloewang

Chloe Wang is an architectural designer and interdisciplinary artist with a multicultural background. She recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Architecture and a minor in City Planning. Her upbringing in Hangzhou and education in Florida and California give her work a nuanced, cross-cultural outlook on design.

Her creative practice spans spatial design, graphic design, painting, and publication making, grounded in a strong foundation in the arts. This diverse experience informs her human-centered and culturally attuned approach to architecture.

Chloe is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of TRACE, UC Berkeley’s only undergraduate student design publication. Supported by AIAS@Berkeley and ASUC, TRACE has gained recognition within and beyond the university, and will soon be carried by the renowned William Stout Architectural Books. Prior to launching TRACE, Chloe served as an editor for the graduate journal Room One Thousand and as Design Director for BARE Magazine.
